This role will support the Assistant Sustainable Development Manager to deliver various sustainability initiatives. For example, data analysis and reporting, as well as promoting sustainability awareness to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate in sustainable development initiatives and activities across all subsidiaries in line with Group objectives, with a primary responsibility for Cathay Cargo Terminal.
• Develop, plan and implement sustainability awareness campaigns, activities, training and stakeholder engagement across subsidiaries in alignment with Group sustainability objectives.
• Support the collection, analysis and management of sustainability data for ESG reporting, performance monitoring and target tracking.
• Assist in the preparation of sustainability reports, management updates, presentations and communication materials.
• Support carbon management, waste reduction, circular economy and other environmental improvement programmes.
• Support the preparation of materials for external awards and recognitions.
• Support sustainability assessments, audits, certifications and compliance requirements, including ISO 14001, Group carbon audit, HK Airport Authority carbon audits, airline sustainability-related audits.
• Conduct research on latest global and regional sustainability initiatives, trends, industry best practices related to the industries associated with subsidiaries.
• Liaise with internal departments, subsidiary representatives and external partners to facilitate project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, maintain documentation and track implementation milestones.
• Perform any ad hoc duties as assigned by the Manager.
  
  

Requirements

• Degree holder in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability Management, ESG or any related discipline.
• 2 years relevant work experience in Environmental or Sustainability.
• Experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement and sustainability programme implementation would be an advantage.
• Knowledge in carbon accounting, sustainability reporting standards, ISO 14001 management system audit, would be an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Independent, well-organised, proactive team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects concurrently and work effectively with stakeholders across different business functions.
