
Cathay Subsidiary Services consists of several independent departments that provides professional services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Cargo Terminal, Cathay Dining, HAS by Cathay and Vogue Laundry.
The Graduate Trainee Programme aims to develop high‑potential university graduates into future leaders within the Company’s operations. The programme focuses on building a strong management pipeline for the cargo handling services, in‑flight catering, ground handling and laundry services businesses with the subsidiaries of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Cargo Terminal, Cathay Dining, HAS by Cathay and Vogue Laundry.
Throughout the three‑year structured development programme, Graduate Trainees will gain broad exposure through planned rotations across key operational departments while receiving structured learning, leadership development and hands‑on project involvement. Trainees will acquire a solid understanding of business operations and develop the analytical, people‑management and leadership capabilities required to manage teams and drive operational performance.
Upon successful completion of the programme, Graduate Trainees will be appointed as Assistant Manager or equivalent within one of the subsidiaries, taking on management responsibilities to lead teams and contribute to achieving the Company’s operational and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in planned rotations across major operational departments to build broad business and operational understanding.
- Execute day‑to‑day operational activities to ensure smooth workflows, service quality and operational efficiency.
- Assist in handling customer, partner and internal stakeholder enquiries, ensuring timely coordination and communication across departments.
- Contribute to operational documentation, reporting, process execution and departmental support tasks.
- Participate in business improvement initiatives and support management on assigned projects and ad‑hoc duties.
- Build strong working relationships with cross‑functional teams and contribute to a safe, efficient and customer‑focused operating environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in any discipline.
- Strong academic background with a demonstrated interest in developing a long-term professional career within aviation support services, including in-flight catering, air cargo operations, ground handling, and/or laundry services.
- Fresh graduates with less than 2 years’ working experience will also be considered.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and operational environments.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual with a positive mindset, strong sense of ownership, and willingness to embrace challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Chinese processing, with sound digital literacy and analytical capabilities.
- Shift duty is required.
