Finance Business Partner - Cathay Dining
Department:  Finance
Job Location:  Hong Kong International Airport, Lantau Island

As the Finance Business Partner at Cathay Subsidiary Services, you will be responsible for the overall financial management, reporting and budgeting/forecasting of the company. Your role includes supporting the senior management in developing business goals, synthesizing market data and research in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders and assisting senior management in formulating / delivering well-scoped strategic business plans.

The selected candidate will also drive continuous efficiency improvement and actions that can deliver financial growth and cultivate value awareness culture across the company.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary Finance Business Partner to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), providing financial analysis, insight and constructive challenge to support decision‑making and drive business performance / transformation.
  • Lead the Finance workstream for the SAP implementation and execute a smooth cutover.
  • Partner with the COO to embed a strong value‑creation culture across the company, fostering clear cost ownership and accountability, supported by disciplined performance management.
  • Support the COO by providing analysis in variances, trends, and KPIs to provide clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Review, shape and validate business cases, pricing initiatives and operational improvement plans. Oversee capex governance (including post‑investment reviews) and ensure disciplined benefits tracking.
  • Lead and own the financial planning, budgeting, short-team and long-term forecast for the company, ensure assumptions are robust and aligned with key stakeholders.
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in developing and implementing finance policies, reporting frameworks and processes that ensure efficient, consistent and aligned financial reporting across the subsidiaries.
  • Uphold strong financial governance and internal controls, ensuring compliance with Group/company finance policies, accounting standards and company Delegation of Authority, while proactively identifying and remediating control gaps.
  • Partner with the central finance team to optimise order‑to‑cash (OtC) and procure‑to‑pay (PtP) cycles, forecast and manage working capital effectively.
  • Coordinate with the COO and relevant teams on legal and compliance matters affecting financial outcomes.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits in partnership with central finance team, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
  • Support accurate and compliant tax submissions and regulatory/statutory filings in collaboration with central finance team.
  • Align with the central finance team on agreed service levels, monitor performance and address gaps to ensure effective delivery of shared services.
  • Perform ad‑hoc analysis and tasks as required by the COO or CFO.

 

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years relevant working experience with at least 3 years in managerial role.
  • Experience working in similar business environments preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate operational drivers into financial insights and recommendation.
  • Strong work ethic, comfortable being hands on.
  • Exceptional attention to details with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Effective planning and time management skills.
  • Proactive and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese. Fluency in Putonghua will be a bonus.
