Continuous Improvement Project Manager
Department:  Continuous Improvement
Job Location:  Hong Kong International Airport, Lantau Island

What you need to do?

  • Drive process improvements in Cathay Dining operating and line departments.
  • Focus on analyzing current workflows, analyzing processes in detail and identifying opportunities for improvement related to the implementation and practice of lean culture and implementing sustainable improvements to enhance Cathay Dining’s productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Deliver measurable results within a timeline.
  • Perform project management duties to monitor and control of corporate projects execution, including tendering process, vendor management process and project governance.
  • Process Improvement Leadership  
    • Conduct waste analysis in all processes within operations and administrative areas.  
    • Identify bottlenecks, defects, and inefficiencies, and propose data-driven solutions.  
    • Implement standardized work instructions and visual management tools to sustain improvements.  
    • Promote a Lean / Six Sigma culture across all departments, likewise lead process redesign initiatives to improve the quality to convert CDI a lean company
  • Project Execution & Monitoring 
    • Lead Kaizen events, lean manufacturing improvement projects and related capital investment projects.
    • Track KPIs (e.g., cycle time, defect rate, throughput) and report progress to stakeholders. 
    • Ensure changes are sustainable by delivering training to frontline staff and supervisors.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with operations team to align improvements with operational goals. 
    • Facilitate problem-solving workshops with frontline staff to gather input and foster engagement.
  • Compliance & Safety 
    • Ensure process changes adhere to food safety standards. 
    • Promote 5S and 7 wastes methodology to improve workplace organization and safety. 

 We are interested in speaking with individuals if you are:

  • Tertiary education, preferably in logistics management, business management, quality management or food industry related discipline
  • 8+ years in process improvement, operations management, project management or industrial engineering, preferably in food production, operations in air catering business. 
  • Six Sigma Lean Green Belt is a must and Black Belt is preferable.
  • PMP qualification and other operational excellence qualifications are preferred. 
  • Good project management, problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerBI, Tableau and SAP S/4HANA.
