Responsibility:

• Assist the Subs FBP to oversee all finance-related activities for the subsidiary
• Maintain appropriate financial models to enable relevant information to be processed and delivered in a systematic manner to facilitate decision making for the subsidiary
• Work closely with Central Finance Team and subsidiary business units for budgeting, forecasting and tracking the financial performance of the subsidiary
• Prepare management reports for the Board/senior management and other business units
• Interpret financial data and reports generated by Central Finance Team, draw insights and provide expert advice to relevant stakeholders
• Execute finance strategies, governance and internal controls in support of the vision, mission and service development of the relevant business
• Assist the Subs FBP to follow up on risk, insurance and legal-related issues impacting the business; liaise with Company Secretary when needed for businesses in Hong Kong and Chinese mainland
• Handle impairment assessments, deferred tax assets assessments and transfer pricing reviews
• Collaborate with Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, the Central Finance Team and external auditor(s) on financial reporting, tax filing, compliance issues and new regulatory and accounting standards in Hong Kong and Chinese mainland.
• Understand, analyse and communicate corporate and departmental KPIs to ensure subsidiary business units understand and are aware of financial impacts
• Assist Subs FBP to optimise the company’s financial resources and drive momentum for continuous improvement with respect to financial systems, procedures and internal controls
• Perform management analysis as requested by business units/stakeholders
• Any ad hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Certified Public Accountant
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 years or more relevant working experience with at least 3 years in supervisory role in the profession
• 3-5 years related experience in relevant type of business
• Good skills in spreadsheet modelling and structuring material for PowerPoint presentation
• Proactive with drive for results and good analytical skills
• Good command of written and spoken English
