Cathay Subsidiary Services consists of several independent departments that provides professional services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Cargo Terminal, Cathay Dining, HAS by Cathay and Vogue Laundry.

Account Manager
Department:  Customer & Commercial
Job Location:  Hong Kong International Airport, Lantau Island

For this role in the Customer and Commercial department, the selected candidate will manage sales and key accounts for subsidiaries, driving business growth and maintaining strong client relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day account management of customers, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration to achieve revenue targets.
  • Be accountable for customer satisfaction through excellent account services and effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Identify customer needs for long-term planning and product development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with business partners through regular review contacts and review meetings.
  • Participate in commercial negotiations such as pricing, service level agreement. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, central teams, operations, and finance to ensure seamless execution of commercial and account development plans.
  • Provide sales forecasting and business intelligence to formulate market insights.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints with follow-up actions.
  • Support the Business Development Manager to develop short-, medium- and long-term commercial strategies to maximise revenue growth opportunities.
  • Perform any projects or ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Management.

 

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, key accounts management, stakeholder management preferably within airline cargo, air cargo terminal or air freight industry, with at least 2 years in supervisory position.
  • Experience in supporting air cargo contracts and pricing.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Both Cantonese and Mandarin).
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and drive change initiatives.
  • Degree holder in business administration or other related disciplines.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.
