
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Responsible for Planning and designing daily work for the proper cleaning of facility and equipment
- Create and optimize cleaning schedules and SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) for all areas, including when introducing new machinery
- Manage cleaning budgets and expense controls to be aligned with company budget and plan
- Propose and implement new cleaning standards or sustainability initiatives
- Operational Oversight:
- Conduct regular and spot audits of on-site cleaning performance (at least 3 times per day) to ensure adherence to established protocols and standards
- Ensure high standards of hygiene across kitchens, dining areas
- Coordinate staffing to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours, holidays and special events
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits with cleaning agency
- Ensure services meet contractual and quality standards
- Maintain compliance with food safety and food hygiene regulations – HACCP
- Coordinate with QA area hygiene audit as well as lab samples
- Create formal KPI to evaluate supplier performance
- Identify and issue maintenance requests for faulty equipment or infrastructure issues that impact cleaning efficiency.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Lead hygiene and work safety inspections, ensuring all activities comply with health, safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations, and achieving hygiene related KPI every year
- Conduct regular and spot audits of on-site cleaning performance
- Implement corrective actions when standards are not meet
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain the cleaning records and analysis based on it (digital and physical)
- Prepare reports for management with weekly and monthly performance
- Waste & Logistics:
- Manage the workflow for food waste bins, recycled oil, and food donations to charity, ensuring proper handling and documentation
- Work together with internal Production Planning team to find out the information of disposal ingredients
- Team Leadership:
- Assist in coordinating major cleaning projects, including in-house deep cleaning, furniture/facility layout changes (heavy-duty)
- Leading and developing projects involved in cleaning activities
- Training & Development:
- Support in training cleaning staff and contractors in proper cleaning techniques and hygiene standards
- Manage and motivate cleaning staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
- Implement new cleaning technologies, processes, or products
- Budgeting Assistance:
- Prepare and execute budget and actions to have the cleaning of our facility and equipment in perfect conditions
- Constantly review supplier invoicing to make sure is correctly issued
Requirements:
- Degree in Facility Management or a related discipline
- Willingness to move across different CDI business units to ensure consistent execution and cleanliness standards
- Minimum 8 years of experience in cleaning and facilities management, including at least 5 years in a managerial role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, plan shifts, and monitor team performance
- Good knowledge of cleaning methods, including the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Clear communication skills in both English and Cantonese
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, depending on operational needs
- Strong sense of accountability with good leadership capabilities
- Ability to handle contingencies and respond effectively to urgent situations
