Cathay Cargo Terminal operates one of the world's most advanced air cargo terminals, offering world-class cargo handling services for Cathay Cargo and other international airline customers operating at Hong Kong International Airport.
Project Implementation & Support
• Support ad hoc enhancement/improvement projects from feasibility study to handover, involving MHS, Facility, Non-MHS equipment, and OHSE.
Maintenance Management
• Assist in daily supervision of maintenance contractors for MHS, Facility, and Non-MHS equipment.
• Assist in studying and conducting performance and fault analysis of the Material Handling System (MHS).
• Ensure contractor work meets SLA and delivers value for money.
• Support the application of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance (PM/CM) with proper record-keeping and reporting systems.
Emergency & Breakdown Coordination
• Learn to supervise contractors for fault diagnosis, downtime estimation, and corrective actions.
• Support Engineer-on-Duty during emergencies or crisis situations; 24-hour shift duty may be required, including attendance during off-duty hours and typhoons.
Shift Duty & System Monitoring
• Learn to monitor MHS operational and technical performance at Terminal Control Centre (TCC).
• Learn tracking faults and incidents, and supervise MHS maintenance contractors at Engineering Control Room (ECR).
• Learn to liaise with the System Controller Team regarding MHS status, estimated downtime, and operational solutions.
Reporting & Documentation
• Learn to prepare daily and management reports.
• Review spare parts consumption for MHS and Non-MHS equipment.
• Maintain and review technical documentation in the Technical Library.
Qualification / Requirements:
• Degree / Higher Diploma / Certificate or Degree in Engineering
• Fresh graduate or 1 to 2 years post-graduation experience in engineering
• Good computer knowledge in MS Office. Good knowledge and skills on computer aid system for system control. Knowledge in using AutoCAD should be an advantage
• Good written and communication skills in both Chinese and English
• Independent, highly organised with self-motivation and commitment.
